Q.How do students participate?
A. Students must do two things to participate in the competition. First, be an Autodesk Certified User. Second, upload a completed project to before August 1, 2016. Detailed project specifications can also be found at

Q.Who can participate in the Autodesk Certified User World Championship?
A. To participate in the Autodesk Certified User World Championship, candidates must be students that are enrolled in an approved, degree-seeking academic institution recognized by the state or country in which it operates. Students must also be between the ages of 13 and 22. Students participating in the World Championship must be able to provide proof of age and student status upon request. Employees of Certiport, Inc., the sponsoring Certiport Authorized Partner, their affiliates, subsidiaries, parent and related companies and agencies and those individuals living in the same household as employees are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. By taking an eligible Exam and entering this Championship, participants agree to abide by all terms of the Official Rules.

Q.Which Autodesk Certified User certification exams can I take to become eligible for the Championship?
A. In order to become eligible for the Championship, you must take and qualify one or more of the following exams:

  1. AutoCAD® Certified User
  2. Autodesk Inventor® Certified User
  3. Autodesk Revit Architecture Certified User
  4. Autodesk 3ds Max Certified User
  5. Autodesk Maya Certified User

Q.What are the prizes for the winners of the Autodesk Certified User World Championship?
A. The winner of each category (for a total of three) will be given a paid trip to Autodesk University. All students under 18 will also be able to bring a chaperone with them to this event.

Q.Where can I take an Autodesk Certified User certification exam?
A. Eligible exams can be taken at any academic Certiport Authorized Testing Center. Visit to find a testing center in your area.

Q.What is the deadline to submit my project?
A. All projects and eligible certification exams must be completed and submitted by August 1, 2016.

Q.How are the winners decided?
A. After preliminary judging, Autodesk experts will review the top 15 project submissions. According to pre-established criteria, (in categories such as design and use of the Autodesk tools) a winner will be selected in each category: Architecture, Manufacturing, and Media and Entertainment.

Q.Which countries are allowed to participate?
A. Students from around the world are welcome to participate. However, the following countries are excluded: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.
